A day at PlayPaws provides your dog with a fun packed adventure day

Doggy Daycare

Many of us have to go to work every day or have busy lifestyles that make taking time to walk and play with our dogs difficult on a daily basis. Dogs are naturally pack animals and so must be given the chance to interact with other dogs regularly. Whether they play with other dogs briefly in the park or meet a dog passing by on the street, this is not enough for our dogs. A day at PlayPaws provides your dog with a fun packed adventure day and your dog will spend the day with a pack of friendly dogs in a safe and secure environment.

Numerous research studies have shown that dogs shouldn’t be left alone for any more than 4 hours, after this time the dogs can begin to suffer from separation anxiety which can show itself in destructive behaviour – chewing, toileting inside, excessive barking and even biting. Getting a neighbour in for 5 minutes to let the dog out is not enough and this is why PlayPaws is so successful. Based on a proven business model of nurseries and kindergarten for children, PlayPaws provides a large, safe environment where well behaved dogs can play and interact on a daily basis with trained dog lovers.

For young dogs socialisation is essential education and a couple of days of daycare at PlayPaws during the week is the perfect way for your dog to learn these life skills.  A dog that has not been socialised is likely to become aggressive towards other dogs and even humans later in life and this can be difficult to correct so prevent it by giving your dog the chance to play and exercise as part of a pack from an early age.  At PlayPaws there is plenty of human attention too so your dog will get used to being around all sorts of different people, this can help with over excited dogs that jump up at people when they try to greet the dog.  Exercise is essential for all dogs.  Dogs that don’t get to release all their energy by running or playing with other dogs are likely to become destructive around the house and constantly seek attention.  Here at PlayPaws we promise to bring home a happy, healthy, well-socialised and exercised dog every evening so you will be welcomed home by a relaxed dog that is a pleasure to be around.

We’ll give you peace of mind knowing that your dog will be happy and safe with caring, experienced handlers in an environment that is perfect for dogs. The most important thing to us is that we know every single dog personally; their nature, needs and personality, We never over book or take on ad hoc dogs at short notice so we can make sure that the dogs within our packs are safe, happy and good friends.  All dogs will need to be pre-assessed before they are allowed in to make sure the personalities and breeds complement each other within the pack.  All dogs will need to become regular members of the PlayPaws pack to ensure the very best training, playing and socialisation of all dogs that our trained staff looks after.
